  3. It would be nice to offer our guests an ability to buy a Gift Voucher for our hotels online versus it being a manual process. We previously used Webrezpro, and their system allowed this. Now we have to go back to paper and manual gift certificates.

  4. We work with two bookable services; stay and shortstay, using the same rooms. We want to ensure availability until a certain time for our shortstay partners therefore, we are using availability blocks with the moving release option. Unfortunately, the availability blocks are only blocking rooms in one bookable service. Making it possible to book the blocked rooms in the stay bookable service. It would be great if the system blocks these rooms in both services when adding an availability block in one of the services.

The German Translation of the "Availability & occupancy report" should be improved: The term "Stayovers" is currently translated to "Bleibende Gäste", which translates back to English as "staying customers" which is incorrect, because the row labeled includes only the room count, not the guest count.
    So correctly this row should be labeled as "Bleiber" or "Bleibende (Räume)" .

  7. A client raised a strategy they used at their property to manage overbookings in lower space categories.
    They would add an availability adjustment of +1 to the space allowing it to overbook. Once that eventual booking enters Mews, they would then reassign it to the actual space available (a space that typically is last to be sold).
    However, the +1 adjustment currently remains unless a user intervenes manually to remove it. Suggestion: Is there a way to automate the release of that adjustment by considering "full occupancy" of the hotel at that point?

  8. I love the search bar navigation. I use it to find almost all reports or settings even though I know where to find a lot of this stuff in the menus. It's still just faster to get places on the search bar. I also really love the shortcuts provided for the commonly used things.

  9. We want to have an option to block the entry of a free adjustment when adding a product to an invoice.

    This is to ensure that users only use predefined products to invoice/reimburse, so that accounting information is coherent.

    Indeed, by nature a free adjustment is not linked to a product and therefore not linked to a specific accounting category.

    What is the problematic use case?
    When we invoice/reimburse a product, our teams need to invoice an existing product so that the correct accounting category passes through our accounting interface (api).

  10. Every other PMS system I have used categorises Notes on bookings.
    This really is a feature that needs developing In MEWS.

    There should be various boxes, one for Housekeeping Notes/ One for F&B notes/ Spa etc ...
    These teams can then print off reports for notes just for them, without having to wade through things that are irrelevant

    Also one for Public notes ( visible for Guests to see on confirmations and online Kiosks for self check in )

    Private notes for Internal notes - visible only for staff & hidden from Guests.

  11. When sending Support Cases, we can not see what was already sent, even when receiving a reply we can not see our originally asked question.
    It would be good to have an overview of all Support Cases in the company in one place. This makes communication easier and we can always refresh our knowledge by going through tickets instead of asking again and to have One raised case as a one thread.

  13. Since the new update a chat icon for mews support has been added in the left corner. With the computers in our hotel we can´t change resolutions which causes issues as the icon is blocking some of the tasks in reservation. Is there a possibilty to disable this icon per account or move it slightly?

  14. When you book online, you see the rooms that are available at the top of the page and don't see unavailable rooms until you scroll down the page. But when we book over the phone, the room categories stay in their default order and just show that the room cannot be booked. It would make things a lot easier if the categories were sorted by availability first and then by their default sort.

Beyond the availability of filters, or as incremental filter functionality, users should be enabled to remove data columns from report when the data in the column is irrelevant to the property or the user. My hotel doesn't track data by bed but this information takes up space in a report for columns with zeros. When I deselect filter options, the column still shows in the report with zeros. Like standard Excel spreadsheets, it should be possible to drop/drag columns within the report and remove columns so print attempts don't generate unusable reports.   18. I would like it if Mews could reassign reservations to a different space if it could open up another reservation. I have a couple of niche uses for this at my property but can think of a few ways other properties may use it too.

    My property has 22 rooms with 22 space categories because our guests like to book their favorite room and we want to cater to that. I have a few rooms that would work really well as desk space because they are big and I can lock the bedroom doors to prevent their use if it…
