  1. Would be nice if the room number shows up behind the name while using the search bar. If you look up a name now, you have to click on the name before you see the room number.

  2. New update changed calendar/timeline colors to 50 shades of gray, why!!!???

    so,

    Out of order: dark gray
    Future stay: less dark gray
    checked out: light gray

    Why???

    Departures: light blue
    People checking in: light blue

    Who is designing your UI, probably same genius who designs your billing screens (old and new)

  3. To add additional self-service options for your guests, online checkout could help lessen traffic during peak checkout hours and eliminate queues from your reception desk. On the morning of departure, guests could use a link from their checkout email to review their bills, check out of their rooms, and then drop off their keys on their way out.

    We tested this feature with a variety of properties (both big and small), and we’ve seen the benefits in real life: Guests are eager to take control of their departure, and receptions are raving about shorter lines.

  4. Include on the Mailing list a message to send to customers that had the credit card transaction declined. The mail is to inform them that the credit card transaction for the payment of the booking has been declined and asking them to update the credit card information within 24 hours to avoid the cancelation of the booking. Include on the mail a link where the customer can access their profile and update the payment information.

  5. Today, if you have an overbooking of 2 Classic rooms, but only 1 Deluxe room, the system will still send availability for 1 Deluxe room even though you are in overbooking of 1 room. It can be extremely dangerous.

  7. Recently a check in a create keys button was added to each booking which is great it checks in and creates the keys for the customers HOWEVER! it only works after 4pm, because our official check in is at 4pm. what we would like will be the function to work at any time! and instead a pop up will appear that will say it is not 4pm yet would you like to create the key? yes, no. and it will create them either way as long as it leaves a record that they were created before or after 4.

    This was due to a bug that has since been resolved. A key can be cut at any time after the reservation is checked in. As long as the check-in is completed, there is no problem cutting a key prior to the default reservation start time set by the property.

  9. Make a view specially designed for the breakfast team.

    They want to have a few with: guestname, roomnumber, how many persons. They want to track who came and who still need to have breakfast. So a simple checkbox in that list would do.

    Also the day before a prediction for the amount of breakfast next day, that is easy to access for the breakfast team members.

    We are very happy to inform you that we have officially released a new filter in the Guest in house report, that will allow you to view products consumed during the report’s selected interval.

    We hope this update will help your teams handle the morning breakfast rush a little easier.

  10. The old occupancy report is still available but not the previous availability report.

    We used this report daily to modify the distribution between room types (mainly for internet channels to increase available single rooms and decrease double). It was easy to read, to modify and with a clear view on several future days.

    The new report doesn’t give a direct view on number of rooms available for each room category. The table is also less convenient when it comes to change these rooms allocations (several sub-menus whereas the access was easier before).

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the new availability and occupancy report.

    We currently provide the option to swap back to the old Availability and Occupancy report, by selecting the button on the top right hand side of the new report labelled "Old Occupancy report. Selecting this button will switch you back to the old Occupancy report as requested. Once you are able to view the old Occupancy report, select the Availability under “Mode” filter.

    We have updated your request title to solve for comparing availability by room type over a long period. This request has been updated as one to be upvoted by the Mews Community.

  11. When a payment request is expired or paid - it is not assigned to any departments.
    Can we create a setting that this task automatically is assigned to Front Office?

  16. As there may be many tasks created for your property, they can be difficult to keep track of when managing many aspects of your operations. For this reason, passing task deadlines should generate a notification for the task creator or any department members to which the task is assigned. After being sent, these pending notifications would only be dismissed when the task is fully completed. This implemented feature could help all members of your team stay more on schedule and would encourage task completion in line with all assigned deadlines.

  17. Availability block report there are two statuses: optional & Confirmed. I would request that you can also have a cancelled state aswell. That way you can have a overview of all cancelled blocks, statistics regarding which blocks were picked up and easier communication within the hotel and the booker.

  20. If rooms are checked in, the status of the room can still be set to inspected.
    We think it would be useful that the room status in that case can only be set to clean and not inspected.
    Otherwise, the room will be available for self-check-in at the Mews Kiosk.
    Only in the last step - the key encoding - the guest is informed that Self-CI cannot be completed successfully.
    Until then, however, the guest is informed that check-in would be possible, including charging of his credit card.
