  1. The old occupancy report is still available but not the previous availability report.

    We used this report daily to modify the distribution between room types (mainly for internet channels to increase available single rooms and decrease double). It was easy to read, to modify and with a clear view on several future days.

    The new report doesn’t give a direct view on number of rooms available for each room category. The table is also less convenient when it comes to change these rooms allocations (several sub-menus whereas the access was easier before).

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the new availability and occupancy report.

    We currently provide the option to swap back to the old Availability and Occupancy report, by selecting the button on the top right hand side of the new report labelled "Old Occupancy report. Selecting this button will switch you back to the old Occupancy report as requested. Once you are able to view the old Occupancy report, select the Availability under “Mode” filter.

    We have updated your request title to solve for comparing availability by room type over a long period. This request has been updated as one to be upvoted by the Mews Community.

  2. When a payment request is expired or paid - it is not assigned to any departments.
    Can we create a setting that this task automatically is assigned to Front Office?

  5. Hi There, Many hotels are struggeling daily with excel sheet to keep track of their "gift vouchers", would be nice if we can implement this into Mews. Ideally with; Number/code, value, expiry date.

  6. If rooms are checked in, the status of the room can still be set to inspected.
    We think it would be useful that the room status in that case can only be set to clean and not inspected.
    Otherwise, the room will be available for self-check-in at the Mews Kiosk.
    Only in the last step - the key encoding - the guest is informed that Self-CI cannot be completed successfully.
    Until then, however, the guest is informed that check-in would be possible, including charging of his credit card.

  8. At the moment you're not able to schedule a future out of service (still selling) room, while you can schedule a out of order (no longer selling) room. I would need to be able to schedule out of service as well. For example in situations where we have maintenance go into the room and the reception and the housekeeping staff shouldn't use the room, but we still want to sell the room as it will be done same day.

  9. NR Bookings made via booking.com with different guestnames are not taken over in Mews. If you do yourself, and delete bookers name, payment information dissapears. How to implement other name in single room without changing payment info?

  10. sometimes you need to alert more than one department and/or people of the same task.
    would be handy if you had the opportunity to chose more than one department for the task, or be able to copy it, rather than having to type it all again.

  12. Sometimes it may happen that multiple tasks are created e.g. when a group booking has been created but the credit card payment has failed. It takes quite some time to close each task individually. It would be beneficial to select multiple tasks and close them all together.

  13. Currently the tasks doughnut on the dashboard displays pending & missed tasks of all assignee's & departments which can make it very confusing.

    Changing the doughnut to only show missed & pending tasks assigned to your or your department will make this doughnut more relevant. The tasks report should then also pre-load with the filters assigned to me or my department. I can then remove/change these filters if I want to see all or other departments/employees.

  14. Persons arriving later to a unit than the already checked in people - cannot be added for only a part of the whole stay. Same with persons departing earlier than the other people of the same unit.
    Within in an apartement 2 people stay 2 nights 2 people stay 4 nights.

  17. it would be good if you could update a task and re-instate it once closed. sometimes tasks have been closed but become relevant again at a later date and this would prevent having to create a new one, plus with updating the task description you have a better overview and history of what has happened with that particular booking in one click.

  18. Please include a pop up note on the dashboard or send it as a message in MEWS for new same day arrivals/bookings created on the day for the day - to assist in preparation for arrivals. The channel manager emails are not sufficient and reliable enough to reach the right group of people.
