Notes - general improvements
Notes are a huge feature to ease booking management and get a smooth communication between shifts. We use it to clarify bills or past interactions with the guests.
Notes shouldn't be hiding 2 clicks and a scroll down away from the anywhere into MEWS. They should be easy to access, for example, when we click on a booking in the timeline : "Booking - Group - Notes" should appear. Also Notes should have its own panel within the booking, why at the very bottom ? Thanks !

Create Bookings on Kiosk (Walk-ins)
Currently, the Mews Kiosk requires that you have a reservation to be able to check-in. It would be great if we had the ability to allow the guest to actually process a walk-in guest saving the front desk time. This would require preauthorization for US clients or an option to pay in full at time of walk-in.

Merge guest profiles based on multiple details
When guest make reservations via booking.com, expedia... most of the time we only receive a telephone number or address. The e-mail address is in 99% of the cases one generated by the OTA to mask the guests email. Therefore it would be very convenient if Mews would merge profiles based on other similarities as well. This would make it easier to identify guests who have already stayed with us previously.

Mandatory Fields in Mews Booking Engine
Ability to add mandatory fields in Mews Booking Engine and transfer this data into the reservation information in form of notes or tasks automatically. Example, what is mandatory now is last name, email and if selected telephone number. We would like to have the ability to have specific preferences to better enhance the guest stay such as high floor, quiet location, near elevator, ADA. Also include the ability to have the guest select an estimated arrival time, example 8pm. This will improve housekeeping productivity. Flexibility to add additional fields to Booking Engine
Properties are looking for more personalized experience. It's important to collect information such as allergies, personal preferences, arrival time, etc.
It would be great if there was a flexibility to add additional fields in the booking engine (arrival, allergies, preferences, occasion for the stay) and give properties flexibility to collect this important data from their guests at the time of booking.

VIP Report and Export
in order to get the VIP's sent to the hostel on a daily basis. it would be nice to be able to apply a filter in the export report to filter on clasification

Show number of past stays in guest dashboard
To get a quick idea of an arriving guest, it would be very useful to see how often the guest has returned to the property.
The current symbol of a returning guest is not enough. There is difference between guests that have returned once or guests that have returned 30 times!It would be very helpful to see the number of stays counting from 1 to ....

Differentiate hotel collect and ota collect bookings
It would be very helpful for the front desk to obviously see in the Travel Agency Contracts section whether a booking from Expedia/Booking.com/Agoda/etc is with hotel or ota collect payment method

Proving Guest has accepted T&Cs tickbox
Whilst its 'controlled' in the booking flow that a guest cannot complete the reservation without ticking the acceptance box for T&Cs, when it comes to defending a chargeback it supports a stronger counter-challenge if we have the ability to send a screenshot of the reservation summary with the datapoint captured that the T&Cs were accepted and timestamped.

Display lowest available public rate in booking engine while selecting dates ( similar to SynXis booking engine), or show no availability.

Customize emails based on the reservation origin
it would be great to differentiate between the origings of the customers/connector type conncerning the automatic system email. Because for some integrations, we do not want this email to be sent: ivvy, vouchercard, fidelo etc.

Phone number country code selector
Currently, phone number is entered as part of a guest's personal information in Mews Navigator or as part of their profile in Mews Commander. As guests enter their number, currently there are no formatting requirements, which can make it difficult as many guests travel from other countries and their country codes are often not included as part of that data. An additionally required country code selector could help clarify all entered details and ensure that all contact information is correct and usable.

Copy a task to multiple reservations
When adding multiple reservations to one guest profile, it would be beneficial to copy paste all the tasks to the other reservations. Therefore, it would be beneficial to add more reservations to one task or an option to copy and paste a task.

Airbnb, Expedia & Booking.com Chat Integration
Integrate with Airbnb, Expedia and Booking.com directly including Chat API so that we can have a universal chat experience for our guests, currently we are having to use a clunky external system that provides a unified inbox.
But it would be SOOOO much better if this was integrated directly into MEWS.

Disable Messaging
Please make the Messages/chatfunction optional or opt-out.
We don't want to use this tool to communicate since we now have to keep an eye on yet another system. Next to our socials, Whatsapp, mail, phone etc. etc.38 votesHello from the Mews product team.
