The billing has changed and a lot of colleagues get confused using this new billing method. It is harder to see the companions on the same room when 2 guest are travelling together in one room. Sometimes the charges from F&B are booked on 2 different names in the same reservation. This can be easily forgotten on check out when very busy.
The room number is also not visible in the billing. It would be nice to see a name and roomnumber. (sometimes there are 2 bookings under the same name)We would love to change back to the old…

Implement Wechatpay and Alipay
Slowly the Chinese market is getting bigger and bigger for Dutch hotels. Not only in Amsterdam, but everywhere in the Netherlands. The most used payment solution are Wechatpay and Alipay. This will bring a great improvement in the guest experience.

Connect a credit card machine to Mews
A creditcard machine connected to a PC will help to save time and faults at the front desk.
When connected, all transactions on the credit card machine have to be generated in MEWS. So will be linked on a Product all the time.
You generate automatically the right profit and charge the costumer for the right amount.Met een gekoppelde pin terminal aan de receptie PC scheelt dit tijd en voorkomt eventuele fouten bij de recepties.

Insert a QR code in footer of bill
At present in footer of all our bills we thank the guest and have also inserted bank account details for payment. This is used to be able to send invoices to companies and not have to write separately in e-mail. They can do copy and paste in their banking programs.
Starting 2021, more and more the new European QR code with all payment information will be used. Is it possible to
1. have an automated QR code be generated with all necessary information
2. have this QR code printed on invoice in footer

Payments Operator
Would it be possible to charge or show the guests only the amount of the current stay. This is specially a request for the Mews Operator. The guests shouldn´t see any old or future payments.

Deposits on manual payment types
When Mews automatically takes payment from credit card it will at the same time create debet and credit deposit transactions. Credit card payment will be closed with other transaction and other one stays open on the reservation with all the booked items. Would this be possible with all the manual payment types also? We need this feature for our book keeping to keep on track where the money comes from. And if these payments are not on closed bill it the will not be shown on the payment report as our accounting needs.

iDEAL Payment Method
iDEAL is an online payment solution with a direct online transfer from your bank account to the bank account of the Mews property. It is the most used payment method in the Netherlands.

Payments team has started preparing Mews for alternative payment methods. The first one in the line is iDEAL, the integration and development will take several months. On the other side, the implementation of iDEAL to guest-facing products will be worked on once we, payments teams, finish the integration.

It would be great to set up other kind of external payments like TWINT or any other type that would be useful for the single properties for their statistics and checks.

Include invoice into payment e-mail
When a payment is successful, than the guest receives an e-mail to inform him. Many of them than request the invoice for that amount. Please also send the concerning invoice with the e-mail together.

Send a payment confitmation with external payments
We would like to send a payment confirmation like the ones that are send when a guest paid with their creditcard. Because we also get external payments via our own website with ideal, sofort, wire transfer etc. These guests want to know if their payment has been recieved aswell.

Currently, it’s not possible to send a payment request for alternative payment methods. However, we would like to hear more about which payment methods do you miss from our payment requests feature. We are currently working on the development of alternative payment methods, and it will be very helpful to hear your interest.

WE HAVE LOST 3 GUEST THEY DID NOT HAD ANY OTHER CARD THAN THE DISCOVER TO PAY FOR THE ROOM...
THE SYSTEM DOES NOT ALLOW US TO USED FEW TYPES OF CARD AND WHEN I HAD A WORD WITH THE REPRESENTATIVE THEY TOLD ME TO ODER AN TERMINAL THAT WILL HELP TO ADD THOSE CARD!!!
SERIOUSLY TO ENTER CARD DETAIL WHICH DOESN'T ACCEPT THE MANUAL ENTRY THEY WILL BE ACCEPTED MY TERMINAL....
IT SHOULD THEN COME IN A PACKAGE WHERE YOU RENT THE SYSTEM AND THE TERMINAL...

Please reach out to your Account Manager and he/she will review your contract and will take a look at what needs to be setup on our side, so you can start accepting mentioned card brands. To not allow a credit card that expires prior of guest arrival to be able to confirm a booking
At times we have reservations from where at the moment of booking the credit card is valid, however it expires prior of their arrival.
We cannot accept reservations with an expired credit card since we then cannot collect payment. For security reasons we also do not prefer to take cc over the phone or by email. Is there is a way that the guest can get a notification that when they book their stay with us, the credit card will expire prior of arrival and to use a different card.20 votes -
discover and jcb cc
the mews does not allow us to get discover card or jcb card while making the reservation but it does gives you the option to find the reservation which had made payment using the discover card or the jcb card?
i mean how and why this makes the procedure more slow and sometimes guest they need to run to get cash.2 votesHello team,

We have enabled Discover and JCB for terminal payments, moreover, we have enabled same payment methods for the US market. Due to the limitation of our current payment providers (Stripe), we cannot enable the above-mentioned payment methods in the EU but on the other side, we have recorded your request to our partners and your AM will reach out to you for any further update.

Merchant: Option: Do not send charge mail to the client
Mews sends automatically a charge mail to the mail address in the customer profile (for a physical card). But the card holder may be different e.g. a travel agency) and the customer is not supposed to knox the net price. Therefor it would be helpful to have a tick box on the charge screen: "Do not send charge mail to the client".
