Rate Mixing
The system should be able to propose the cheapest rate possible to our guests (like booking.com does). Mixing the rates to offer the best deal is a guarantee to compete better against booking.com. Product availability
If the property offers e.g. 10 baby beds the product should only be bookable if one of the 10 beds are available.
Second option would be that e.g. only 2 of the 10 double rooms have the space for an extra bed -> restricting on room count

Restrict Products
There are other suggestions about restricting products, but would also be good to restrict products by Room category, and rates/ packages/ dates
For example -
1 offer a cot to rooms that can only accommodate cots and not to all rooms2 offer pet products to rooms that can accommodate a cot and not to all rooms
3 only offer a product on specific dates, rather than all, or seasonally within a certain date range - Strawberries in Summer
4 by package type, if a rate includes a product you wont necessarily want to add again

Rate buckets & restriction based on occupancy
At the moment the restriction settings in MEWS are very complicated and extensive. When we try to close multiple rates that are within different Rate Groups (due to the settlement required) we have to close all rates individually. Our idea is to create Rate Buckets where you can add rates manually that only apply to restriction. This way, you can apply all restrictions on these Rate Buckets instead of on rate group or individual rates.
Furthermore, it would be perfect if you can apply restrictions based on occupancy %. I.e. if hotel is 60% booked, I want to close all…

Restrict dates for products
Have the option to restrict product to specific dates.
For example: if we have New Years Eve Gala Dinner created as a product, would be very helpful to be able to restrict this product to only guests staying during the night of the 31st of December, and not to any booking date.119 votes -

Occupancy-based pricing
Spaces are often priced by category, however additional pricing schemes could become available with the possibility of pricing spaces according to the number of guests accommodated. With the availability of occupancy-based pricing options, properties would have the possibility to set rate price based on the number of people staying in the space rather than applying an empty bed adjustment. This would enable much more pricing flexibility for revenue managers, which could additionally provide even more attractive prices for guests.

Reservation Rate modified original price should be in the action log
If only the reservation manager has access to the Rate Management in Mews, then when employees are changing the rate of the booking, they will not be able to know what was the original price of the rate. They will only see from the action log the original rate and not the original price.

When orders are placed in Mews, there are often notifications sent for confirmation. However, when orders are canceled, it is more difficult to keep track of this lost revenue. Multiple independent restrictions
Would be nice to be able to create rate restrictions on a specific space category (ex : minimum stay of 2 nights on the space category **) but that the general minimum stays restrictions of 4 nights on all properties still apply. It will help to do some revenue management A/B test without breaking the general restrictions or creating dozens of restrictions.
Could be maybe managed :
- by being able to select spaces categories by ticking some boxes (such as the 'Days' criteria works in restrictions, where you are able to select/deselect days in restrictions).

Simple automatic yield management functionalities for rates
It would be great to have some simple functionalities to help the rates yield management such as soon for example, as the occupancy of a certain category is above 60% increase rates by 10 EUR or 10% .
