character limit
I have recently discovered a 1,000-character limit has been applied to (at least) the description of a new rate when I attempted to modify an existing description and add a new rate. Overall, not an issue. The problem to solve is formatting this description. Line breaks and blank lines entered when writing the description are no longer recognized and now the lines all run together. This is not a great Guest experience and is apt to cause more Guests to skip reading the description entirely when they see a big block of words. I hope this was an oversight when…

Additional and/or customizable frequency options for scheduled reports
Currently reports can be scheduled to run hourly, daily, weekly, monthly etc.
It would be helpful to have more options ie. 6-hourly, fortnightly etc. and/or the ability to set a custom frequency for report exports ie. 6AM, 2PM, 6PM to correspond with staff shift times.

issue a proforma for a block without any picked-up reservations
It would be nice to provide the proforma invoice when a group block is confirmed to share the initial preview without any picked-up reservations.

Add a segment field in the Availability Block
Currently, the availability block creation flow in Mews does not include a segment field. While adding a segment field could improve categorization and reporting, properties should have the flexibility to configure this field as either mandatory or optional based on their operational needs.
For properties that rely heavily on segment-based reporting, making the field mandatory ensures consistency and better data quality. However, for others, the additional step might complicate workflows, especially since reservations often need to be updated manually after creation.
Suggestion: Introduce a configurable setting that allows properties to decide whether the segment field should be mandatory or optional…

Tracking visitors to the booking engine
In my previous booking engine, the timeline/grid was a dynamic live thing. You can see real time when potential guests were looking at dates or making a booking. It was a real time indicator of how good a marketing campaign was working. The previous pms also tracked daily visitors to the booking engine real time and updated the daily visitor numbers. This insight was invaluable.

Option to include companions on invoices
Having the option to include Companions on the invoices. This is ideal for when we have multiple guests inside 1x space, and critical for Companies who require the entire guest list to be recorded on their invoices.

Remove Confirmation Number for Optional Reservations in Emails
Since Optional Reservations are not confirmed reservations - client feels it would be best to not attach a Confirmation reference number in the emails until the customer actively confirms the booking. All main Placeholders associated with Reservation details or Summaries include a Confirmation number - even for Optional Reservations.
Email Templates associated with Optional Booking should only confirm a summary of the reservation details without a confirmation number. Perhaps adding a specific placeholder just for the templates triggered by Optional Reservations could be useful.

Give the option to remove the Service charge
It would be great to have the option to deactivate the service charge in additional services. Like a tick box where they could say if a service charge would apply or not.
This would eliminate that the user charges the service charge by accident, leading to postings in wrong accounting categories, eventually even wrong VATs.
Now with the new design where the service charge it is on top of all additional products, it is easier to fill in the service charge and forget about the product.2 votes -
New report to see lead time
I would like a report that can show me; arrival date, lead time for the arrival date with either a travel agent profile, company or source for the booking and rate for the booking could be rate code. This report should be possible to pull for a year, month per day. I know I can use reservation report, but I still need to put it in a excel sheet and then make my own pivo.

Sort out cancelled / no show reservations in groups
When going through cancelled / no show reservations (groups) it is time-consuming having to click on each and every one of the reservations in the group to see what date and what reason the booking was cancelled.
In groups it would be great if you were able to organize them by date, as well as, reason (cancelled / no show).
The best solution would have been to sort them out as we have when it comes to past and future bookings and by date but instead "cancelled" as one and "no show" as another one.

Zahlung auch in Firmenkartei
Wenn ein Geschäftsreisender seine Firmenadresse auf der Rechnung benötigt, dann muss erst die Zahlung über seine Kartei am Terminal erfolgen und dann können wir erst die Firma in der Rechnung hinterlegen. Es wäre besser, wenn auch über die Firmenkartei Zahungen über das Terminal getätigt werden könnten.

Reservation Report - Showing 0 in Rate & Total Amount for prepaid reservations
The Reservation Report shows 0 EU/SEK/NOK in Rate if a reservation is prepaid. This makes it harder to calculate reservation amounts in an exported version of the Reservation Report. The Rate should not be 0 no matter if the reservation is paid or not.

Support for Terms & Conditions per Product
Dear Mews Team,
We would like to suggest an enhancement to Mews functionality: the ability to configure multiple sets of Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) and assign them to individual products or services. Currently, a single general set of T&Cs is applied across all bookings, which often falls short in catering to the diverse requirements of specific offerings.
The Need for Product-Specific T&Cs
Many properties provide a variety of services and products that come with unique terms. For example:
- Parking spaces: Usage might be subject to specific liability disclaimers.

It would be good if it were possible to make tasks on the block and not just individual bookings.

Restriction - ability to see which rate is open on any given day in addition to see which rates or which restrictions are in place
Option to see which rates are open in addition to see which rates are closed (on some high city wide - we want ALL rates closed and only one open). This would make the check and balance more efficient.

Channel Manager adjustment per night option instead of the total reservation price
The ability to add a per night channel manager adjustment in the TA contracts instead of it only being added to the total reservation price.

Change arrival + departure times on bookings with different dates
Being able to change the arrival time and departure time on bookings that are staying on different dates without having to change the actual date.

Activation and deactivation of users
In the user management section, it would be nice to simply deactivate or reactivate user profiles. Sometimes users work for seasons and leave the company for a few months between seasons. Currently, if you want to stop the access to Mews, you have either to remove the rights of the user or you have to delete the profile and recreate a new profile when the user comes back.
