Once a reservation is canceled in Mews, unfortunately it must be recreated in case a guest decides they would like to stay. This can be inconvenient in case of no shows that must come the next day or reservations that may have been canceled accidentally. An additional feature to reinstate canceled bookings could help simplify these occasions as all booking details could be preserved and records would be unified.544 votes
Implement a direct connection between tasks and reservations386 votes
We are very happy to announce that we have released the functionality that will allow you to attach tasks to reservations.
Curious and want to learn more? Check out the Mews release notes page https://go.mews.com/tasks-releasenotes.
If you have any a few more questions about the feature, contact your account manager or the Mews customer care team.
With extending action log, you will be able to see more information about changes that have been made in your property.338 votes
Hi there Mewsers!
You’ve asked and we’ve listened.
We upgraded the action log to make it more detailed and easier to use.
Below are some of the additional details that we’ve added.
Before, when a reservation moved to a different room, you couldn’t see which room it was in originally—now you’ll always see exactly how the reservation looked before and after each change.
We’ve enhanced updates for products. You’ll now be able trace for example, the additions of order items as well as the price adjustments made to your products.
And finally on the pricing side, no need for a calculator! You can now monitor and report on changes to prices with the both net and gross values, as well as the affects the changes you’ve made have on taxes.
We will continue working on updates to the action log for different sections of the system. Stay tuned for more!
we should have an option to click on the red line and see straight away where you have the overbooking. Sometimes the overbooking is two years later and you waste your time following the red line293 votes
Thank you for the feedback, your idea has been opened for votes by the Mews community.
Guests may know in advance that they have companions coming to stay for only part of their reservation. Therefore, properties may want to apply these changes as soon as possible, rather than waiting until after check-in. This additional feature could allow users to split future bookings as necessary.291 votes
Create bookings directly from the timeline by clicking and dragging to pre-fill your date selection and then complete all remaining booking details278 votes
Once a reservation has been confirmed in Mews, it is currently not possible to change that status to optional. Rather, the user must delete and recreate this reservation as optional in order to do so. Introducing the functionality to edit reservation status could help your front office simplify booking changes as they could update those details directly from the reservation module.251 votes
Independent restrictions allowing one restriction to be connected to multiple rates or space types231 votes
For guests that are traveling with children, it is nice to give them a discounted price for some stay products, such as breakfast or excursions. Implementation of pricing for children can help to alleviate some of these costs for your customers and make pricing more attractive for families.210 votes
Currently, stay products are posted on bills on the day of a guest's checkout, however, this can complicate the billing process for some properties. Therefore, splitting stay products per night and listing them on day of consumption could be very helpful for clarity and also for reporting, as revenue per day would be visible in Accounting and Manager reports.207 votes
Stay products are now posted on the date they’re consumed. All existing products have been replaced with products with the updated settings. Any products posted to an existing, future reservation were also updated to the new posting settings.
How do you like the feature so far and do you have any ideas for the future?
Allow properties to access their mail queue and preview emails sent to guests.201 votes
When we receive a booking from our PMS, a new profile is automatically created. However if we had already blacklisted a profile with the same name, we must think about merging both profile. The idea would be if there is at least one common information (email adress, phone number, CC details), Mews should send us a notification to check if this is the same guest or not, and then we decide to blackist or not with a link available in the email notification.198 votes
It's quite common for guests to book accommodation together, meaning that when they're ready to pay, they would like to split charges evenly or with some other percentage. Currently this is not possible in Mews, but an additional feature could allow billing charges to be split according to guest preferences before payment.194 votes
Track inventory of stay products and introduce restrictions based on guest count160 votes
We can add products to all reservations simultaneously, but it is not possible to cancel them with one command. With the ability to cancel items from all bookings at the same time, managing stay products will become much more simplified.155 votes
Hey Mewsers, we do understand that this idea is really important to the Mews Hospitality Community, and whilst it’s not something on the Mews roadmap, we have an exciting update from one of the Mews integration partners!
Mews Marketplace now offers a connection to Omniboost Allotments (https://www.mews.com/en/products/marketplace/omniboost-allotments) with which you can add the functionality of creating allotment blocks and reservations to your MEWS property.
Simply log-in to Mews, click on Marketplace → Event Management → Omniboost Allotments, select ‘Create new account’ and subscribe!
Add extra line at the top in timeline to implement large events in City or warnings or international holidays.
We are a Boutique hotel with 40 rooms without meeting rooms. Located In between centre of Amsterdam and a large (RAI) conference Centre. In case of large conferences or Events in the city we can sell at higher rate than leisure. Because these city wide conference are known for years ahead we like to have a space on top of timeline to place the name of the event with warning like "only sell high' or 'do not offer to groups' .148 votes
Now you can add special events or notes in your Enterprise Settings. These show as an icon & note on the Timeline & Rate Management screens, and on the Availability and Occupancy reports.
Check out this guide to learn how to user these calendar events: https://help.mews.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001837618-Create-modify-or-delete-a-calendar-event
Add a remove/delete option for the items you add in the billing section. Rigth now the only option to remove/delete it is to post another item/service/product (in negative).146 votes
We are very happy to inform you that we have released the new group billing screen!
On this screen you will be able to remove items that have accidentally been added to a bill.
We are currently working on the ability to automatically post negative charges (rebates) with a single click.
Please note this functionality is only available on the new billing screen which will continue to run along side the current billing module.
Keep an eye on our release notes page for more!
Automatic settlement is a great tool for automating payment collection from guests, however it is not currently possible to apply more than one settlement rule. Properties may rather prefer to add several rules that work together for a custom payment scheme. _For example, take 20% of payment upon creation, 30% one week before arrival, and the remaining 50% on the reservation start date.136 votes
